Victims of Racism and Xenophobia

This year alone we’ve witnessed a number of tragic cases of violent racism and xenophobia, many at the hands of police forces. In the United States, George Floyd’s murder by police officers sparked riots and protests.
In Portugal, my home, ucranian Ihor Homeniuk was tortured and killed by immigration officers for apparently doing nothing at all. A very rare case but nonetheless a serious one.
Recently Bruno Candé, a 39 year old portuguese black man, was murdered cold blood with 4 gun shots in the middle of the day following days of racist insults from his murderer.

We must not accept racism, xenophobia and even less the racial culture of police forces.

We must educate and legislate against racism NOW! The western world isn’t doing nearly enough.

Thank you for watching!
